Hello I just recieve a call from someone who says that they are from a law firm representing Quick Cash.net and that I am looking at 3 felonie charges and if we went to court I woul have to pay over 5000. If I want to settle out of court I would have to pay 752 by 11am tomorrow because that is when we would be going to court. I aske several question like what bank where the funds deposited into, how much and when. They said that they could not provide me any of that information. Then I asked what court would we be going to and they said the one in my county and asked ok which county and they gave me a bogus county and when I questioned that they hung up on me. Is this a scam? I do not remeber borrowing from them.

Hi Juliana,

Please do not pay them anything. First of all, if a creditor says that they are taking you to court, they should first of all sent you a summon for the same. It has to be in writing from the court. If you have not received any summon, please ask the creditors to send you a summon and then call you with regards to this. Second, if you are not sure if you owe them the amount that they claim, please send them a Validation Letter, asking them to validate the debt that they claim to have against you. If they are able to validate the debt, then you have to find out options to pay this debt off. But if they do not reply to the validation letter or they are not able to validate this debt, then you are not obligated to pay any money to them. Also if they are not able to validate this debt, they are not supposed to give you any kind of calls with regards to this debt. So please follow these steps and I'm sure it will help. Good Luck!

I received a call just like that one but the person said they were from the cyber crime unit. The guy who calls himself David Clark said I had a law suit against me. I told him I wasn't served, didn't receive any letter or phone calls about this. He began to tell me he would read the document but I had to remain quit and listen with no interruptions.
I had 20 minutes to come up with $998.00; I had to fax a letter authorizing my creditor to debit my account. It scared the crap out of me.
Once I calmed down and had a chance to think, I didn't send anything. I don't even
I also reported the phone calls to my local police department.

PLEASE file a complaint with the FTC, you can do this online, since you have their phone and fax number it's VERY important that you file a complaint!
