sounds like they are pressuring you to pay immediately.don't agree to anything over the phone without details in writing first.if it is not on your CR then if you don't mind me asking.how do you know you owe it?again, never pay a collector over the phone without at least a collection letter, and the CR threat concerns me as this could be out of SOL.send the CA a DV letter certified mail return receipt.make them prove they have legal right to collect as JDB'S are everywhere.

Paul, thank you so much for reply. The bill is mine, it???s for sure 100%. I even paid part of this bill to doctor???s billing office. Then I put it on hold. Stupid me???.
The CA sent me a letter with remain balance and not the whole bill. I called yesterday to billing office and they rejected my payment since it went to this CA. They confirmed name. So, everything is looking legitimate. I checked my credit history yesterday (I know it???s not updated every day) and everything is clean.
The only question is, should I trust CA they won???t report it to CRAs if I pay now or ask for some writing before pay.
