Threatening call

What do I do now? Do I call him back and record the call? I have an excel sheet started of the calls. But I can NOT have these calls going to my work!!!
I have not sent letters to anyone about anything. Only shut my account down Thursday so they couldnt take anymore out Friday.

First of all what kind of debt are they calling about? If its a PDL, try to find out if they are legal in your state. Next thing, if they claim to have called you from the Police dept. try calling them back to verify if they actually are who they claim themselves to be.

The Sheriff's office does NOT deal with debts! This is BS so whoever called you is lying! Unfortunately you can't really stop the calls but the less you talk to them the better, hang up when they call and don't give them anyone to threaten and argue with, they will tire of calling you sooner if they are talking to thin air.

I have been trying to find out of any of these are legal - I know CashnetUSA someone answered me on that one. But the others I still don't know. I have done the Texas CSO lookup with the wildcard and search the internet far and wide . .I still can't figure out of the rest are legal in Texas.
Any help would be soooo appreciated!! I did call the Riverside Sherrif's Dept and they had never heard of him and those aren't their extensions. So I know it was a "fake" call. I just don't know to which one. I am trying to keep a spreadsheet of calls.
