In September 2009 I pulled my credit report last year and noticed they were reporting an invalidated debt on my credit report. So I called them to find out WHY they were reporting it. When I spoke to their rep she told me the key details of the debt. So I asked her to please send me the paperwork and validation on the debt as I had no record of the account and I would need to research my files to accurately determine if I was responsible for it. She agreed to send the validation I requested. I never received it.
In October of 2009 I pulled my CR again and noticed they were STILL reporting it. So I decided to send them a DV via CMRR. I never received anything back from them. But then began to receive debt settlement letters and phone calls at my office from their collector. I called them again. I let them know I still had received no paperwork from them, I had send them a DV letter requesting NO PHONE CALLS from them, yet their collector was calling me at my office and leave voice mails. I told them until I received the info I requested they needed to stop reporting on my CR immediately and stop calling my office or my personal phone and I did not want to receive another settlement letter until my request had been fulfilled.
They continued to report on my CR and called me one more time in February. I received one more settlement letter from them in the end of March.
So in the beginning of April I sent them a stronger letter letting them know I had NOT received the information I requested or any communication from them at all, except phone calls from their collector at my office (which I had informed them in my DV letter it was not ok to contact me by phone) and settlement letters, I told them unless their validated the debt I wanted it removed from my CR immediately as well as compensation for their violations.
I noticed the other day that they removed the mark from my CR but I have heard no response from them.
Should I send them another letter to follow up?
