Help,

I have encountered some financial problems and took out some pdl. Now I am trying to get out of this mess. I live in MN, and closed my bank account 4 weeks ago and am now starting to get some calls at work. I want to work out payment arrangements but am not sure where to begin.

Here is what I have;

Titan Loans - principle - $300 - paid $1,170

Mesa - principle - $300 - paid $1,070 (now a collection agency called NCA is calling my work- Help!)

US Fast Cash - ? (Trying to find info on this one)

Ideal Gelt - principle $450 - paid $270

United Cash Loans - principle - $400 - paid $360

NLS Cash Advance - principle $300 - paid $180 (Very threatening calls at work on the company voicemail saying to call back in 1 hour from a company called ARM - Help!)

Zip19 (Northway) - principle $380 - (Have taken this out a couple of times - but they take the full amount plus the interest on the next pay day. But the last time I took out - I have not paid anything back on.

Star cash processing - principle $350 - I am still trying to find my info

DJR Group - principle $300 - paid $90

G& R Enterprises - (signmyloan) - principle $300 - not sure how much I have paid.

Any help on what I should do?? Thanks everyone

Your payday loan laws are at the link below:

Internet payday lenders are required to be licensed in your state, you can check that at the link below, if they aren't listed they aren't licensed, I suspect none of yours are but please double check it:

They are not allowed to call you at work. I have had encounters with the ARM agency myself. You have to tell them you are not allowed to receive calls at your place of employment and that the conversations are being recorded. You can also send them a letter stating the same info, and that all future communication should be in writing, not on the phone. Take a deep breath. It will be ok. I still owe on many loans myself. You CAN work this out... especially since (by looking at your list) you have paid fees already towards the loan. This HAS to count towards the principle because internet PDL's are illegal.

They keep calling my work and I need help quick.

They are a joke! Tell them they have 5 days to send you a letter of collection via the mail after their first initial contact with you, that is a federal law (FDCPA), after you do, hang up. If they continue to call, hang up, keep hanging up, don't speak to them period, the more you talk to them the more they will call, the less you give them anyone to argue with the sooner they will stop calling. File complaints with the FTC, BBB and your AG. I'm sorry but there really isn't much more you can do but file complaints and NOT talk to them. Explain to your employer you are being harassed by a bogus debt collector and that it may be a case of mistaken identity, or whatever you need to tell them to save face.
