I did a few settlements over the last 2 weeks and am wondering when they will show up on the credit report as paid, a few of them show up as balance $0 but some are still showing the original balances. I am going to call these collection agencies to get my confirmation receipt that they said i should be getting this next week. I know these are the correct agencies that i was dealing with because i contacted my original creditor and they directed me to these agencies and then the CA gave me the settlement agreements with my account numbers and balances.

They are not always real good about sending out confirmation letters. Whatever method you used to pay, keep a record of that and a copy of the settlement agreement (in case some other bottomfeeder gets a hold of the remainder) and check your report in 30 days. If it is still reporting incorrectly then dispute it on the reports...there is a chance it will just get deleted, or it will get updated or verified. If it gets verified you can send a letter to the collector reminding them about the settlement and that they need to update the account on your credit reports.
