Hello,
I am new to this forum. I came across it on google search. I too am in need of getting out of the PDL cycle and need help. I don't know which are legal and which are not. I've listed my loans below. I live in Fl but my bank is still in MN so I am not able to walk in to talk to a branch manager to close my account and US Bank is not an easy bank to deal with. I'm scared and don't know what to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated! I have used all these PDL places before these outstanding ones and have paid off several times already. Here are my current outstanding ones.

500fastcash--borrowed 550 paid 1245-owe 195--internet
Nationwide--borrowed 600 paid 450--owe 750--internet
Ameriloan--borrowed 500 paid 300--owe 650--internet
Mycashnow--borrowed 460-paid 0--owe 642.41--internet
Greenpicket.com--borrowed 550 paid 0--owe 632.40--internet
Fbdloans.com--borrowed 600 paid 583.68-owe 400.76--internet
Djr Group, Llc--borrowed 300--paid 540-still owe 390-internet-they never start taking out principle and I have no phone number for them.

Thank you for any help
Corey

Corey, I feel your pain friend. The lenders I am dealing with I also had paid off several times. I got into a huge bind trying to take out MORE loans just to pay off fees. Payday loans have changed my life, and even my employer for a time. I wish I had found this site about three years ago. All we can do is move forward, right?? Ok. The lending laws for each state is listed in another thread. Shazzers is usually a good resource here. I will say, I have dealt with 500fastcash, Nationwide, and Ameriloan too. I am also trying to negotiate deals with all of my lenders. I have paid off four or five already... what a feeling :) You will get there too. In fact, some of your loans are considered PAID IN FULL if the lending laws in your state prohibit payday loans all together. Looks like 500fastcash might even OWE YOU! Take care, and navigate this site when you have time and can take in all of the info. Just breathe... you are not alone and can get out of this mess.

There is no reason that yiou can't call the branch manager and explain things on the phone! You MUST close that account! The Florida Consumer Financial Act puts an 18 percent cap on small loans and requires all lenders to be licensed in the state regardless of their geographic location. If they are not licensed the loans are non-collectable! Please take a moment and read the article in my signature link below! It will help you. If you have direct deposit in your Mn bank you need to get your payroll dept. to issue a live check for a while!

Sorry it took so long to reply back. Thank for the reply. I'm taking some time off today to try deal with my bank. They keep directing me to the fraud division who handles fraud cases. I don't know if these are actually fraud or not if I applied for them? I'll keep you posted. I don't know how exactly to use or keep posting on the forum either as I'v never done before, so it's new to me.
Thanks again
Corey

Thanks! Going to get on the phone with someone at a bank branch to see if I can get it closed. Or at least a hard hold, and take it from there. I've been navigating around here and have been finding alot of very useful info you and everyone else. Thanks again.

I ended up calling my the branch manager at the bank in North Dakota where I first opened the account many years ago when it was called who knows what? As my parents are there and have accounts with them so if I needed some help to get done what I needed to, they could help. I wasn't able to completely close the account even though I made it to a zero balance, but I still have an outstanding checking account advance that I had to take out to pay all the rollover fees from my last direct deposit. She was understanding and did put the account on the hard no debit and deposit only. Will this be good enough for now so I can send all the Pdl companies my revoke letters?

Thanks
Corey

A debit block should be ok, hopefully your bank doesn't charge for any returned ACH's? ideally the best thing is to get that account closed. Before sending your letters, make sure that the account is completely inaccessible; the first steps in getting rid of the PDL's are always the most difficult; keep us posted!

I blocked access to my account and sent out my revoke letters to everyone but I am still getting calls from all over the place. Now I got an email from nationwide stating this

They can't do anything, they aren't licensed to lend in your state, this is a typical bogus threat letter, just email them back and tell them your state law prevails. Owing a debt is a civil matter, not a criminal one. I would also tell them you are filing a complaints and forwarding their email to your state attorney general, and please do so.
