Hi Everyone!
This is my first post here on the forum although I have lurked and read for months - I have recently gotten in over my head with PDL but I have great news - In NY the attorney general had filed a suit against Telecash and a settlement was reached - well TODAY I got the news about how much I would be getting back and I nearly fell off my chair - the settlement ranged from 10.00 - 4500.00 - Well I am getting back 2430!!! Yes you read that right TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS OMG I am so excited right now as I dig myself out of PDL trouble - wishing you all the best

No, the lawsuit was filed by the Attorney General and they settled for I believe 5.2 million dollars - the check will be coming from the Better Business Bureau who is the administrator of the settlement

Go to the Better Business Bureau website and use the link contact us and ask a general question about the Telecash settlement - someone from the restitution department will respond and you can then ask your question - all I asked was the status of the settlement and what the amounts were for me.
Hope this helps

this is the information I got via email

Hi All,
The response I received on 5/20 from the NY BBB: "There was a delay and we???re still waiting on an update for the amounts and when the checks will be going out."

I too got a check back from the State of NY from Choice Cash and Telecash for over $3,000!!!

I was shocked!

I thought a couple of hundred, but I didn't know that much. I had to pinch myself. I didn't know there were others in the same place I was.

I didn't know the PayDay loans were illegal in NYC until I went to this fantastic site. I stopped payment on my payday loans because I was swamped and couldn't pay my rent or any bills.

Right now, I'm trying to get debt settlements from all the credit cards I owe. I want them to settle in full, but they don't want to say that.

Well, that's one big win for consumers. I wish NYS would go after these other illegal Payday loan companies.

Well, Folks. so happy for you but very disappointed in my $450 check. I had sooooo many loans out w/County Bank of Rehoboth that I was anticipating more. Did you folks have many or long standing loans. I'd love to know how this was calculated. I am grateful for what I got, but honestly disappointed. Was looking forward to paying down debt!
