I have closed my account (a month ago) and the calls are getting nasty. I have sent cease and desist to all but Delaware and Payday one - and am working out payment plans with them after they send me the information I requested.
Yesterday, my mother received a call from someone claiming I had defaulted on an online loan and that i had used my sister's SSN to get the loan - a flat out lie. They didn't respond since it was a telephone message only, but what can I do now to stop all this?
Thanks,
Jeanne in Tennessee

Your payday loan laws are at the link below:
http://www.paydayloaninfo.org/stateinfo/TN.asp
In TN, Internet payday lenders are legal as long as they are licensed somewhere in the U.S., wherever they are licensed would be the payday loan state laws the consumer would need to follow. Some of yours aren't licensed, some are.
PaydayOne and FBD are both licensed lenders, Paydayone is listed
PaydayOne and FBD are both licensed lenders, Paydayone is listed as a CSO or Credit Service Organization in most states and registered with the Secretary of State, a CSO's interest and fees are NOT regulated so what they charge is usually perfectly legal. FBD extends installment type of loans and aren't bound by the payday loan laws either.
One Click Cash, Payday Max, US Fast Cash and Arrowhead Investmen
One Click Cash, Payday Max, US Fast Cash and Arrowhead Investments are NOT licensed to lend anywhere, I am uncertain about Instant Cash USA. CLICK HERE to find out how to deal with unlicensed lenders.

Thanks all! I have been in touch, via email, with Payday One and they are going to work out a payment plan. I am waiting for a response from First Bank of Delaware on the same issue.
I have sent everyone else my "taking a stand" email and will send physical mail copies to them tomorrow (certified). Integrity and Arrow are getting the - I want overpayment back - treatment. They're suddenly quiet too. Hmmm. I know this is far from the end, but at least I am now in charge and they know it.
Thank you for your sage advice.
I'll be back here soon.
Jeanne

Just keep pushing them for a refund, let them know you are filing complaints against this with the FTC, BBB and your AG. Something else I did was write articles and submitted them to various online communities and popular news worthy websites, just whatever I could find that would smatter their names around. I made it known to the lenders I was involved with that I fight fire with fire and will not be trampled on. I received refunds eventually, but it was pretty quiet for a time. I didn't let their lack of acknowledgement stop me from being in constant contact with them though, I continually sent emails with links to the websites where I submitted articles and complaints. I made sure I was in the forefront of their mind on a daily basis.
