Today I received a lovely fax from Nationwide stating all of my account information for everyone to read. The fax talked about check fraud and lawyers... etc. I emailed a reply requesting that Nationwide NOT fax or call me at work. I defaulted on my loan with them last week. We have played voicemail tag for a few days after they said that the $575 in fees wouldnt count towards the principle amount owed. Taheerah Talib is the callers name. Does anyone have any advice for me?
yes i do.the 575.00 was that the amount debited from your account?if so how much was the loan for?if the amount debited met or exceeded the principle then you owe this moron nothing.i would go to NACA.NET and find a consumer contingency lawyer and sue this place.this waste of oxygen broke the law in faxing that to your place of employment.at the very least file an AG complaint against this loser, and nationwide.you have proof of this bottomfeeders violations.either sue them,or file complaints, but do not speak to the crumb again, and use everything against him.voice messages, that fax.he gave you the proof to cost him his illegal job.don't let him off the hook.

Ok. Paul, the original loan amount was for $700. I paid $575 so far. I had to default because I couldnt keep up with the payments anymore. I figure I do owe them $125 to settle this account. I offered that amount in writing, but have not heard a reply regarding that. I only have received the fax and call today. Taheerah said that SHE IS allowed to contact me at work!!! UNREAL. I said (in an email) that I would call back on my lunch. I will see what she has to say regarding an "offer". She said she could negotiate a deal if I called back.

Seriously, I would shoot them an email and tell them you only owe them 125 bucks, they can take it or leave it, also ask that they provide you with a valid address, no address, no payments. That is what I would do.

I wouldn't talk to them on the phone anymore, just hang up, the more you argue with them the more they will call, if you hang up and don't say anything they will tire sooner of calling you.

I did call back because I was curious as to what her "deal" might be. Care to guess?? NO DEAL AT ALL. She said for $67 TODAY we could put my account into "good standings" and that I now owed over $800 and could pay installments of $200 twice a month and she would make sure there were no more fees. Funny how they can make you the offer of no fees only when you are in default. She also told me (through fumbled words) that I was not facing a civil penalty and could go to jail for three months.
now you file,or re-file AG complaints against the pig.yeah i sai
now you file,or re-file AG complaints against the pig.yeah i said pig.do not speak to the pig again.you will not go to jail under any circumstance.if she wants it that way.i would file the complaint, and send the fax as part of your complaint.you owe 125.00.she can't get anymore out of you unless you give it to her.
Keep Your Chin Up, Girl!
:D HEZ - Keep your chin up, girl. I know it's difficult when all of this comes down on you like a storm the meteorologists never warned you about. I have been in the same situation myself. I AM in the same situation myself currently. I am waiting for Sure Advance to take the ENTIRE loan amount out of my checking account. I will be payday-free at that time. I am sure you will be payday-loan-free, too, soon!!! I understand the defaulting, feeling badly about it, and not wanting to deal with all of it. We are in a society where we are living beyond our means. I am just as guilty of it as you are. Is there a family member who would help you? I have asked my mom to help me, and she has. Gotta love moms! Good luck, I'll be rooting for you!
