First of all, thanks for all the information here, it is awesome and gives me hope...

But because there is so much, I am a little overwhelmed...

In short, I am stuck with 3 loans that are bringing me down to a point that I can't meet my regular bills with out renewing again and again...

I am in Texas and the three loans I have are :

US Fast Cash $500
Magnum Cash Advance $1500
Cash Transfer Center $1065...

I really need to get out of these so I can make my mortgage this month...

Any links and pointers would really help, I am almost to the point where I am willing to pay some to get out from under these guys...

Thanks in advance!

If you have renewed these loans several times the chances of them being paid off (and more) are very high. When obtaining a loan from an unlicensed lender (not insinuating you knew they weren't licensed) all you are legally obligated to pay them back is the principal amount you borrowed to begin with, no interest or fees should be paid to these lenders, they aren't entitled and do not deserve it. I am going to give you a link, it is a step by step guide on how to proceed, don't skip any steps, follow it step by step. I know that closing your account is a pain in the butt but it is crucial! Your personal information has now been compromised, therefore, closing it is the only sure way to protect it. I would go an open a new account somewhere else before you close this one, then have your direct deposit (if you have one) redirected, also transfer any auto payments to legit debts asap! CLICK HERE to find out how to deal with unlicensed lenders.

In the meantime, you could go into your bank, speak directly to the branch manager (no one else will do), and demand they place a hard debit block on your account until further notice, explain to them that your account information has been compromised with some online unlicensed lenders and at the time you obtained them you had NO idea this would turn into a catastrophe, just a suggestion, you can actually tell them what you want. Don't take no for an answer, tell the branch manager it is CRUCIAL they place a hard debit block on your account until you can resolve this. Also, file complaints asap with the FTC (link in my signature) BBB and your AG. Print those complaints out and take them with you to the bank as proof that your account has been compromised, the more ammunition you take with you to the bank, the better the chances of them acting quickly so you can get this resolved. Just another suggestion. :)

Edited for spelling. lol

Close your bank account and go somewhere and open another one. When you do they will make all kinds of threats including bank fraud. It's all smoke and mirrors. Then you will get lots of phone calls. Chances are they will finally go away. Don't answer and don't return their calls.

It's suppose to be the payday loan licensee data base, if you click the link below it shows you TX payday loan laws, scroll down and it will give you a link for the licensee data base, it must not be working right now.

Not sure what you're asking me, all I was trying to explain is this; due to the fact that US Fast Cash, Magnum Cash Advance and$1500
Cash Transfer Center are NOT licensed to lend in TX, no matter what you do, if you keep that account opened, eventually, these lenders will debit that account again, and probably use another name, so, closing it is the only real way to assure your account info is no longer compromised.

Okay, I will definitely close both of my accounts at the bank or is that excessive?

My question was, Can these lenders hide under the disguise of a CSO that is mentioned in the link I posted. I guess my other question in this vein is wondering if it is listed or posted anywhere that I am not obligated to follow their laws but they must follow Texas laws because I am here and it doesn't matter where they are...

Thanks for all you answers, sorry if I am a little scared...

Thanks Shazzers - must be a mess up on their end - can't get it to work going directly to their site either - hopefully it will be up and working again - that would be great information for us to be able to access.:p

I'm in the process now - my advice on the question of whether to stay with the same bank - NO! There's always a chance someone who works in your current bank will see that you just have a new acct & forward your debits to your new acct - (even though they aren't supposed to) They think they are doing you a courtesy when all they've done is opened up your new acct to the thieves! I'm opening up an account in a completely different bank that has absolutely ZERO ties to my old acct. I should be able to close out my acct by Monday after a few more checks are expected to clear tonight & then I'll send my letters to the loan places next tuesday or wednesday which still gives me a week before they are due to take money again.

I wouldn't worry or be scared, even if they do TRY that, if your account is closed not much else they can do about it, most of the lenders you have aren't even located in the U.S.
