Is there a statute of limitations in Virginia on a debt? I have a 9+ year old debt that I cannot pay off or make installments on due to being on disability and no outside income.

The statute of limitations for a written contract is 5 yrs in VA. That doesn't mean you don't have to pay the money, just that they can't take you to court to get repaid.
