Stupid Collection Company need to learn laws

MRS & Associates continue to call my office and the office of my husband. My ex-husband is liable for the debt as indicated in my divorce (and I have supplied MRS with this information). I would kindly advise your collectors to hang up when they call and the phone is answered by a professional business rather than ...hello. BTW... we are going to record them next time they call.

Unfortunately, you may be incorrect about your liability to them, however. If you and your ex-husband had a contract with the lender, they you are also liable for the debt. If your ex stops paying, they're going to come after you, period - regardless of what your divorce papers say.
Can you give us more info about the debt? Is it a credit card, personal loan, student loan, etc.? When was the last payment made? What state are you in? Have you given this collection company your correct contact info?
