I am a nervous wreck. I just received a call at work from Advanced Credit Recovery. I called them to see what this was about and the first time the girl hung up on me because I told her that I would not give them any payment with out more info. I called back and found this is from a loan I had with Discount Advances. They say I owe 1502.00 and that they called my work to verify employment and to proceed in suing me and obtaining a garnishment. I sent Discount Advances faxes, e-mails and certified letters last summer in regard to my loan that I overpaid by 1900.00. Now this company says that I need to pay them or respond to them in 48 hours or they will sue me. This is bs. They said they sent me a letter on the 18th to some bogus address in VA...ummm I live in KS and no nobody in VA. The would NOT give me their mailing address and said only that they would e-mail me information. What am I going to do? I am pissed off and scared at the same time.


discount advances is illegal everywhere.a part of MTE.the bogus native americans.first file a police report for the threat.then file AG,and FTC complaints against both places.you owe the illegal pdl nothing,and the collector will threaten,but that's about it.somebody else should be along with an address to send a DV letter to ACA.just know the pdl is totally illegal,and you waaaaaaay overpaid.file the complaints with confidence and hang up on them when they call your work.i forgot MTE scum will try to submit a wage assignment.easily remedied,just give your employer a WAGE ASSIGNMENT REVOCATION LETTER.once that is done the bogus pdl,and collector can only call and threaten stupidly.
