I've been hounded by many pay day loans recently. I've paid off 3 in the last 4 months. Yes, one year I needed help and so I took out multiple pay day loans. I came encountered with a agency recently in November 2009 stating that I borrowed a loan from Advance Cash, though this gentlemen had a strong accent. I was afraid, because he said I was going to get arrest and taken to jail for Theft by check. Grant it I have no idea what the pay day loans were named, a lot has happend since 2005. So I can't tell you if I borrowed from this agency or not. But these ppl had all my information. I'm a single mother of 5, struggling to make ends meet. First they said I owed $1500 but would settle for $1200 out of a $300 dollar loan I borrowed..Of course I paid the $600...I was in tears. I just was too afraid. But after I searched the number, contacted BBB since they did not provide me with any information. I demanded my money back..I felt scammed. I'm happy I got my money back because by right I was suppose to get some documentation. How odd that when I paid the other 3 pay days..I got documentation. Not only are they still trying to call but their calling me by different numbers. The most recent was from a National Crime Center and then again a Debt Relief Stress. I request a teletrack to see exactly how many pay day loans I have but the darn thing didn't say anything. I don't know where to start...any suggestions would be appreciated. I just want to pay these back and get this ppl off my back and to have them quit calling my work. I tell them that I am trying my best but these ppl just don't understand and are very demanding and pushy.

I'm pretty sure Debt Stress Relief (although you wrote Debt Relief Stress) is not a pdl or collector. They're a marketing company that markets for debt settlement companies. They probably got hold of some payday loan data and saw you had an issue and thought they could sell you on a service.

I appreciate the feedback. I'm glad I can have a peace of mind. Many of my friends have told me to ignore them. I've already told these ppl to quit calling me at work. I did a lot of research on the 409# and I documented every call and every thing that I was said. BBB could not find this place, all the numbers that have called from these scammers are from New Jersey, New York, California and Florida. This is CRAZY!! I wish they could hunt these ppl down and throw their butts in jail. I'm actually glad I came across the Fair Debt Act....I knew after I read that, they ppl violated all my rights. The good thing about my job, we have caller ID. I know when they call to first ask for documentation, once they say they can't provide...I literally hang up. I'm just taking care of these loans one at a time. I can't wait until finally I pay off all these loans and be DEBT FREE!! I want to know if anyone knows where I can get some sort of report that will let me know all my pay day loans? I've tried Teletrack but these only listed one loan.

What state are you in? If you are in TX that is a non garnishment state, if this was a payday loan then they are probably talking about a 'wage assignment', which is revocable, just shoot them an email and revoke their right to debit any and all of your accounts, print it out and take it to your employer.
