i have been getting hassled for a couple of years by regent,there was a debt to us bank that was debatable. now these guys are threatening to sue me for 4x the debt and when i asked them to send me verification i didn't hear from them for 6 months and then get a letter threatening to sue me,still with no verification.what can i do,oh also i checked my credit report and nothing from them was on it

You need to mail them a request for debt validation. Asking over the phone isn't sufficient or effective. How old is this debt? What state are you in? Is it even within statute of limitations?
