How common is it to be sued by creditors? Does anyone know the precentage?

In my case, it took them about a year since my last payment.

I came across an article about delinquent credit cards and that article stated they only sue about 10% of the time. Which considering the number of cards out there it may seem like a lot of people are getting sued, but I settled my cards and no one has sued me but other people on the forum have been sued but their situations were different than mine.

I think some of the keys to getting sued are that you have a stable income that they can garnish or assets they can attach to through judgement for a long period of time. If you are self employed for instance, I think your chances are lower. I also think if they feel it is a strategic default as opposed to a real reason you are more likely to get sued.
