Sounds legit to me, I would have preferred sending them a cashier's check, but some people do electronic transfer. The fax was on paper with their letterhead, I assume?

It is a relief. In case others want to know, their first offer
It is a relief. In case others want to know, their first offer was 40%, this offer was 30%, about a month later than the first, and I am out 150 days. I was polite, answered their calls, and in the end it all boils down to time; I mentioned settlement long ago, and it doesn't matter, close to charge off is what it is all about. Good luck to everyone and I really appreciated this board and support.
