old AT&T bill

I was interested to see that there were major issues with Palisade's tactics as I found they were using illegal tactics with me. An old (2003) AT&T bill I disputed was picked up by them. When I called, the rep attempted to get my bank informations telling me that she could not talk to me until she had that information. I threatened her with a complaint and only then would she discuss the bill. She claimed she had to talk to her supervisor and then cam beack with a settlement offer that was unacceptable to me. When I told her that, she said she could not continue to discuss it with me and hung up.
I would like to join a consumer group in a complaint against Palisades. How do I do that.

There were no violations of any laws there. They are not always polite and understanding but rude is not illegal. Send them a debt validation letter. Ask them to prove the debt is yours, correct and not beyond the statute of limitations.
