Hello again all,

I received a dunning letter mid-April from a CA. I then sent a Validation of Debt letter (CM:RRR of course) to my CA in early May, but I have yet to hear anything back from them. I got the CM green card back a few days later from the CA signed by an agent of the CA but they did not print their name, probably not a big deal but just thought I would mention it.

I know once I send a VoD letter, they can't respond with a summons to sue me or anything else other than a validation letter back, but just in case, is a single VoD letter enough to show the court due diligence on my part to try to contact the CA or should I send a second one?

I really don't want to call them, I'd rather just correspond through letters only so I was thinking of sending a second VoD letter referencing the first one.

It's sort of frustrating to me, as I do want to settle this debt and get it off my report; I know most people would say "yippee, guess they don't care about me" and go about their lives but I want this to be rid of.

Any help or advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

It's kind of hard for multiple CAs to own your debt at the same time (if that's what you're talking about) so I'm not worried about someone ELSE doing something; I'm asking as the law goes, the CA I'm dealing with HAS to send some sort of validation before continuing to pursue the debt. And I'm already dealing with the law office that's representing the CA that owns my debt (The law office is the one that sent the dunning letter). I'm sorry if I didn't specify that before.

And getting it off the bureau report is beside the point.

I'm asking WHAT TO DO NEXT. Thanks.
