Does anyone know the number 902-474-3877? It is registered to a Menacs Worldwide in NS Canada, but is an agency that provides telecommunications of other companies. Any idea of who is now outsourcing their communications? Or am I way off base with this one?

Hi Cindycrable,

It is difficult to say who are outsourcing their business to Minacs. This information is confidential, I guess. Are you getting calls from them? is it collection call? Ask them who they are representing? Third party debt collectors should state the purpose of calling clearly.

Or try to point out which of your account could be transferred to collection. Contact your original creditor to know the status of your accounts. Try to prepare some payment plans before negative entries enter your credit report.

Hope some other members out here could shed some more light. Feel free to ask your questions if you have any more queries.

We get several calls a night - no one there. I really would like to get the number blocked!

KK,

Are you getting calls from the same number listed above? Have you ever talked to them? What is the purpose of the call?

If it is a collection call, try to send them cease comm. letter and find out if any of your accounts are in collection. You can consult your recent credit report for this purpose.

Let us know if you have any more queries.

I'm in Michigan and I get several calls a night for this same number. Like you... no one is ever on the other end. We've tried to call the number back without an success of connecting with anyone. Any additional info on how to stop these calls would be appreciated!

Chances are the outgoing calls are set-up for their outbound telecommunications department. Basically computer generated calls for collection.

Also, phone numbers that belong to a certain company, like ABC Company could be doing collection for their payday loan company XYZ Loans, that are in the same building.

If the number calls again, it can't hurt to answer, and just inquire as to who the person is that is calling. You don't have to identify yourself when you answer.

Regards-
Mike

I live in Michigan too and get 2 calls per day from this number and no one is ever there and I have no bills in collection. The calls come at the same time every day.

I just did some research on the 902-474-3877 phone number. Here is the VP of corporate communications of Minacs Worldwide e-mail address. Send them 2 or 3 e-mails a day from several of us maybe they will get the message. vollenweider(at)minacs.com or her direct line is 419-380-3763 her name is Valery VOllenweider. Good Luck! Laura

How many of you getting these phone calls have OnStar? This company has been contracted by OnStar, and I wonder if this has anything to do with it.

The phone call from Nova Scoti 902-474-3877 is a phone solicitation from On-Star. We have been receiving these calls for months, twice a day. Today when I answered the number there was someone on the other end and they were from On-Star. I told them to take me off their call back list. Hopefully I will not here back from them.

We just received a call from them as well. We bought a 2003 GMC Envoy that has OnStar, but have not activated it. I would think that GMC wouldn't sell our phone numbers, even though it is a "tie in" with their vehicle. I hope they don't continue to call. We are on the No Call List.

Just got a call from these guys myself. I live in Nova Scotia myself. A guy named Brian calling from "Aliant Home Services". Aliant is our telco/ISP but has no section on their website for "home services". Didn't continue the call with him because he specifically addressed my father, so more updates when he calls back and speaks with him!

We have been receiving calls from 902-474-3877 on a daily basis for months. There is never anyone one the other end. A couple weeks ago, they called twice on the same day & both times the calls were imediately followed by calls from Vision Comm 800-642-4720. There was no one on the line with these calls also. I found that number belonged to a Matthew Hill in Utah. I also checked at .... & found there was also a Matthew Hill in Utah who was a registered sex offender. I can't say if this is coincidense or not.

A telephone call from 902-474-3877 just came in. After I gave my greeting, there was that typical pause of a call centre call. I hung up. I then redialed their number. The automated system picked up the call, where I then proceeded to key instructions to have my telephone number struck off their call list. Hope it works! Try it out-- it takes about a minute to do the task.

I have been getting calls from this number over the past 3 weeks usually 2 times a day. I haven't answered it though...thought it would be a sales pitch of some sort.

I got THE CALL! I found this board by googling the 902 number. I have OnStar as well and never activated it. I called the number back and got automated instructions on how to delete my number from their database. I deleted myself and the automated voice said it may take 2 to 3 days for update. We'll see what happens.

Thanks to all the replies out here! I've been getting several calls daily for a few weeks, tried to answer, no one there. Hang ups on voice mail. I found you by Google'ing the 902 number. I have OnStar and I just activated it a few days ago, had the car about 7 weeks. I've called to remove my number, we'll see if it works. Thanks all.

Thanks guys for all the posts. It helps to know that I'm not the only one who has been getting these calls. I will call and get my number blocked. Hopefully it will work.

My coworker has been getting numerous calls from this number recently. They state that they are having trouble with his credit card number for his OnStar service and ask him to provide a new credit card number. However, he never activated his OnStar service. Sounds like either a credit scam or attempted identity theft. BE CAREFUL.

I bought a new truck last year which had a year of Onstar. I have no use for it. After I got it, the sales people with OnStar were calling way too much. I finally told them to stop calling my number.
Today, I got a call from the 902 number. I didn't answer, but I hope they dont keep calling my number.

This company somehow obtained my Husband's work number, which OnStar swears they do not have, to renew his subscription on our GMC vehicle. Our subscription still has 7 months left on it. I found this very un professional at work. This sounds fishy, I would ask to take a number, name and call them back after you research the number given before calling as it may be international.

Like everyone else I have been getting 2 calls at exactly 11:04 for the past few days. I finally did a search and found this link.

I also have a vehicle with Onstar, they are calling my cell phone though. I called back and added my number to there do not call list.

We have onstar on two vehicles and get these calls. They call, get the answering machine, hang up and immediately call back again. We got them awhile back and it did seem to stop after awhile, but it looks like they are back.

We just got a call today from the same number and have purchased a GM in the last 6 months. They must be making the rounds. I'm going to my dealer and asking them to track it, along with going on the do not call list

VERY Weird.

We got 2 calls from this number as well today. We just bought a GMC Envoy and a Chevy Equinox (both with OnStar) within the last 6 weeks.
For the guy above who said he hopes they don't call again because he's on the no call list, General Motors is the parent company for OnStar Corp, so since you have a GMC and therefore are a customer of GM, your rights are waived for the no-call list as to GM and all of its subsidiary corporations, including OnStar (A sweet little loop hole in the national do not call list).
