Removing negative reporting from your Credit Report

When it says a reported item (negative) should fall off....say 6/10, and in July it has not. Should you contact the Credit Report Bureaus and ask that it be removed?

If a negative listing which is supposed to fall off on a certain date doesn't get removed, you can certainly contact the credit bureau reporting it. You need to send a letter to the credit bureau requesting them to remove the listing.

This is to inform you that the negative scores remains on your credit report for at least seven years.Even though you had send a request you have to be patient till the changes are done!
