I recently settled an '8500' account with asset acceptance for 2500. I got the letter of agreement, and after some hoopla, paid through check by phone, (temp checking account). I waited a month for the debt settlment letter, nothing. called them and got a story about how they just sent it out today. two weeks later, nothing. I'm owrried they are oging to try to collect the rest of it or sell it. What can I do?

I have the settlement letter, sorry if I wasnt clear enough. Its the paid in full letter I can't get, which acknowledges that you paid, why would they give that to me before I paid?
