Renee, do you have the reaffirmation agreement paperwork, and do you have the payment receipts? If you have, you will be able to solve this problem of yours. I think you consulted an attorney while filing bankruptcy? If yes, you can discuss this matter with your bankruptcy attorney.

what chapter did you file, 7 or 13? and what do you mean by the car is not on your credit report? is it under somone elses name? basically what happens when you do a voluntary surrender the lender will pick up the car and take it to an auction and sell it. the money they get for it will be paid toward the balance you owe, by now though they will tak on extra repo fees and things like that. the lender will hold you responsable for the deficiency balance, so it really depends on what your balance is and how much they sell the car for. other than that it will show on your credit as a repo or voluntary repo for 7 or so years. but certain factors will be determined by your unique situation wich is why its always best to seek legal advice. if you filed chapter 7 and it was discharged a few years ago then it doesnt really pertain to your situation. but say if you filed chapter 13 and still making payments on it, then that would greatly effect your situation. best advice, talk to somone who knows. hope i helped.
