What state are you in? How old is this debt, there are SOL laws in each state, which means if they were to try to take you to court and sue you, all you would need to do is file a motion to have the case dismissed with prejudice due to the fact the debt is past the statute of limitations.
As far as having you arrested, that's a bunch of crap, and you SHOULD file a complaint with the FTC, the link is in my signature. Making threats they don't intend to follow through with is a violation of the FDCPA, they could be subject to a fine if you file complaints against them. If you really want to push it and obtain an attorney, you could actually sue them for up to $1000.00 for making false threats and, again, violating your rights per the FDCPA.

if you have a judgement against you-were you ever served with a summons? If not, go to the court that issued the judgement and file a motion to vacate for improper service. Check with the court clerk as to what you need to file this motion and ask for the file on the judgement-it should tell you what they claim is how and when you were served. If you werent file to vacate immediately
