Hey everyone, just started receiving calls from these folks on an illegal internet payday loan that I defaulted on. I can find very little info for them online except they're physical address (looks like they're above an Italian restaurant or at least that's what used to be there). I can't find a website, phone number or email address. I'm looking for an email address more than anything else so that I can send them a Revocation of Wage Assignment. Does anyone have any info on this company or has anyone else here had any dealings with them?
Thank you in advance.

Just FYI - I received a phone call from them (Erie Mitigation) today, and I am almost certain that this company works in tandem with Lighthouse Recovery Associates. They insisted they were permitted to call me at work even if I request that they don't, and they were also insistent that they were permitted to ask for my supervisor and HR department to verify employment and ask about wages garnishes. It sounded ALOT like Susie from Lighthouse Recovery, who have contacted me about tendollarpaydayloan.com (MTE financial). I live in MD, so I proceeded to explain that these loans were illegal, and that I've paid the principal over and over again in fees by rolling over the loan so many times.

She finally said she was going to hang up and get the information herself for my supervisor, so I gave her my HR fax # and name. I feel like I caved and shouldn't have done that, but I was nervous that they would start calling around to reach my boss. If they do fax something to my place of employment and make attempts to reach my boss, do I have any recourse since I specifically told them they were not permitted to do so?

I recieved a call from Erie Mitigation Group today as well. It was from a James. He called several times and finally they called my work. The supervisor threatned me on my phone and told me i have till 9am to pay this or there coming to serve me with an armed officer. I asked for them to provide me documentation and they did so via e-mail but it was a generic form that anyone could fill out. I google searched them and found nothing legitamate. The comany they are saying I owe money to is legatimate, but i cannot find there number (Oasis Marketing 1) to pay them back. I get fraud calls daily, from a Vincent Spignarelli, this group and others saying I owe money. I was told by a foreign gentelman at another business that my SSN was blocked from teh US Gov't and my home is being watched. I turned them in. I don't knwo who is legatimate and who is not. I need help, there are to many fraud places out there now adays.

I just received a phone call from these people too They left a message with my boss saying that I had a file on in their office and it was urgent that I return the call regarding the case that they have against me. They also left a message on my cell phone and girl saying that she had my file on her desk and it was urgent that I call her to work out this situation, on the messages on the cell they never say who they are or why they are really calling. I can only assume that they are debt collector.
When my boss spoke to these people they were told not to call my work anymore, then the girl got threatening and demanded my boss give her our fax # so she can fax something to our HR dept how is that legal? (Are they are trying to garnish my wages how can they do that I live in Florida and our state laws say they have to actually get a judgment through the small claims courts.) My boss told her no she wasn't giving her any info and to please stop calling then my boss hung up. Then she called back and got really nasty saying you either give me that info or I will just google it she said no you are not to call here anymore. I don't know who these people think they are if they are told by my employer to stop calling and she called back don't I have some legal repercussions? And if they are trying to collect a debt don't they have to send you something in writing not just call?

You may have signed a wage assignment, which is voluntary. I'm assuming this is a low life CA collecting on a payday loan that may have already been paid or was illegal to begin with. You should send the original PDL and this CA a note stating you revoke any wage assignment you may have signed. Give a copy to your HR department as well, just to be safe. Also, write down the details (time, names, highlights of the conversation, etc.) from your boss's conversation with these people. If they contact you at work again, sue the pants off of them for FDCPA violations. Have you received a letter of collection at home?

Hi, Kathy. I tried to respond to your PM, but I received a message stating you've chosen to not receive PMs. :) I would send the wage assignment revocation to the original PDL, if you know who it is. I would send a debt validation request to the CA, site your state's laws regading PDLs in the letter. Also, include wage revocation language, demand to not call you at work and a request for written communication only in the letter. I hope this is helpful.

I got a call today from a ms burres at erie mitagation. She told me I never paid back the payday loan from Tior that I took out awhile back. I always thought these were taken care of ( I took quite a few out during a rough time a year ago ). I hate dealing with these people cause they are so rude and I'm never sure if they are a scam or not but ms burres wasnt too bad. She was a bit snippy at first but she helped me work out a payment plan and sent me an email of valadatin and said she would send me another one once it was paid for proof. Ill never take any of these out again they are such a pain. Im not a bad person though , was just having a hard time.
