Banking during debt consolidation - PDL

Any suggestions when the bank refuses to close my account while I am going through the transition? Any suggestions regarding recommended banking arrangements? Prefer minimum fees to none and easy access to deposits. Do have arrangements with work to do direct deposit but have side job that I have individual payments (cash and check).

Can you tell as to why are you trying to close the account. Closing your account can hurt your credit score. when you close an account, the available credit lowers, and the credit utilization goes up. This negatively affects your credit. However, have your bank given you any reason as to why they won't allow you to close the account?
