i have been receiving phone calls from an attorney's office saying that star cash processing is going to sue me because they deposited $200 in my account. i did not know that they deposited the money and i did not receive nay papers from them of what kind of payments i would have to make or nothing, so i'm afraid that i am goign to get sued by them for something that i knew nothing about. what should i do at this point?

Well, tell that attorney you aren't going to do ANYthing until you receive a letter of collection through the mail, as required by federal law (FDCPA), within 5 days of their first initial contact with you. If they are truly a legit 1, they will already know this. Otherwise, don't give them out any of your personal information, if they are truly collecting for this payday lender (which in all likelihood aren't even a legal lender), then they will already have all your information, such as mailing address, etc.

ah star cash.the illegal pdl that.

puts money into people's accounts without them knowing it,or just uses people's info obtained from pdl applications to try and extort money.

do as shazzers advised.also file the usual complaints against both star cash, and this"supposed"attorney.do not talk to this lawyer again without at least a dunning letter.chances are this is not a real arrorney.just someone at star cash playing lawyer.

well did they put the money into your account? and you dont need to get papers in the mail if you do a payday loan they will send to your email if you request it, why wouldnt you send the money back when you had an extra 200 in your account, did you spend that money? i dont kno why this guy is saying anything about them being illegal, if they put money in your account and used it why would you not pay it back? alot of people get payday loans and after they get the money and spend it they are upset with what they have to pay back but it will tell u when you get the money!!!!! you should keep check of your credit report! so many people try to dodge paying the money back or say the interest is too much, so again look at your bank records see when they put the money in there, most people kno when there is an xtra 200 sitting in there account
