I recently settled a $90 debt for $45 through your company. I thought that everything was good and that the debt was satisfied. However, today I was informed that an unpaid debt of $45 was reported to the credit companies. Would you please remove this debt? I value my high credit score and this will hurt me.

You need to send them sets of letters over several months repeatedly disputing the negative inquiry. Settled debts are usually reported as settled but not paid in full. After the three bureaus receive enough letters they usually remove that particular inquiry. The rule of thumb is sending one set of dispute letters, obtaining a copy of credit report in 3 months, see what has come off, and repeat.

sorry we are not the creditor you seek.however if you settle a debt you must get it in writing that not only will you not owe anything further.you must get it in writing that they will remove any negative entries as well as not sell the remainder.it is a creditors or debt buyers right to still report any unpaid portion for the 7.5 yrs.but they can't re-age the debt.that is illegal.
