I have gathered all the info and know what I need to do to stop 3 illegal PDLS I have--but, I am afraid of the phone calls, etc... to my work. I work in the HR department and am terrified that once I close my bank account and send out letters to them, etc...I will be called at work and my employer will be harassed by them.
Can any one give me any idea of what will happen when I do go through with this? How bad will it be and should I tough it out and try to pay them somehow? The 3 PDLS I have are with MYCASHNOW, Integrity Advance, and National Payday. I have paid all the principal on the MYCASHNOW and owe a little on the principal to Integrity and National.
Thanks for the help.

Elizabeth,

It is nearly impossible to tell you what these companies might pull, however I can give you my personal experience on the matter. They may attempt to contact you immediately or months later, it just depends on them. What you can do to prevent harassment is ignore anonymous calls or change your phone number altogether if possible. As far as work is concerned you can fax or mail them a letter (Cease & Desist) requesting they do not contact you at work. They will either honor it or ignore it. So just monitor your calls if possible. Best of Luck!!

I request that any contact be made through US Postal mail or email only. I will need everything in writing to keep accurate records of all communication as per instruction from my Attorney General's Office.

I prohibit you or your affiliates to contact me via telephone at my place of employment or my home telephone number. I also prohibit you from calling my references listed on my loan.

I personally am scared when I start the same actions towards illegal lenders I have they will call my work. When i signed up for them I put my direct extension. (I work for a educational insitution) so its easy for them to get the operator's # and for them to get transferred back to anyone in my department or even the receptionist in my department.
