I actually have had more PDLs but I fortunately paid them off. But I keep every proof of PIF but how many years do you suggest I keep those documents in cause some lender accuses me of never paying back from something 3 years ago as an example. Not that this is true but I would like to cover my bases since alot of ppl are scam artists these days.

If you have a scanner available you could scan the documents you have onto a computer, then burn/engrave them onto a CD-ROM or DVD-ROM (depending on the size of the files). Then label the disk and index it so you'll be able to find it again if you need it. That way you could keep the PIF evidence for as long as the disk lasts, use up less storage space, and be able to print out what you need if you ever have a problem.

I know this isn't exactly what you asked, but you never know if some scam artist is going to call you up the second the evidence goes into the dumpster 10 years from now. Which if I know Murphy's Law is what will happen.
