Ace Cash debited my account early and now will not work with me ..

I have a loan with Ace Cash Express (yes, dumb I know.). I have learned a lot about them from this site. Unfortunately, it was too late. I called last week to do my renewal. They walked me through it online. I set it up for my payday last week. I am not sure what happened but they ended up debiting it a day early. Therefore, it was returned insufficient and I was charged an NSF fee by my bank. I called them immediately. I talked to a guy there who conferenced me with collections and set up arrangements for me. He also said they would refund my NSF fee. Of course, I have not received the refund of the NSF fee. I also called today to follow up to make my normal renewal payment to them. I explained the situation. They said they had nothing in their records to indicate any arrangement had been made. This was unbelievable to me after I had spent 20 minutes on a conference call with them. When I told them I would need to call back and check with the guy who conferenced with me, they said he had no power to make arrangements and that they will pursue legal action. What??!! Until I read this site, I didn't know they were so hard to deal with. I have had loans with them before but guess I always paid them so never had to deal with collections. I told them I had been a past customer and never defaulted. Now they want the whole amount. When I told her this was their fault and that they had tried to debit my account too early, she said it didn't matter and that I owed the money. what can I do???

I had a payday loan that used to debit the amount a day earlier, I think they do it just to make sure it goes thru at midnight on the day of your payday, when I got in the morning to see how much i've got paid, the payment had already been processed. I think its the banks fault for allowing it to post eventhough the agreed date was the following day! keep bugging them and tell them you're going to close the account if they don't help you!!
