I did a search on the forums but most posts are over a year old. I know that they're a Law Firm, just received the first call from them, it's actually my wife's account. I've been trying to find an address to send the Cease Communication, and a debt validation because I haven't receive anything in writing yet.
All they said is that it is about my wife's credit card with Kohl's, they didn't give me an amount but a statement from Kohl's received today it's for about $1,200.
Anybody has had any experience with them? I'm working with a debt settlement company, are they good to settle with? Do you think that they could take my wife to court for that amount? Please give me any recent information about them, so I could pass it on to the settlement company I'm working with, or for myself as well. Thank you.

Imperator, if you are not sure about this debt, you can send Zwicker a debt validation letter through certified mail, requesting a return receipt. Their address:

Zwicker & Associates, P.C.
80 Minutemen Road
Andover, MA 01810

You can use the sample debt validation letter available at http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/letters/sample6.html . If they fail to validate the debt, you can dispute the item with the credit bureaus. However, first check if Zwicker has entered anything negative on your wife's credit report.

Thanks for the reply, SC. Have you heard of them taking someone to court over $1,200? Even though it may not sound like much, it's a lot for me and my wife at this time. We hope they will be willing to settle, but it's probably not going to be 6 months or so for us to gather enough money and settle. So I'm a bit worried.
