Advanced Credit Recovery. I contacted an attorney about their constant harrassment and he said that since they were in NY that it would be very hard to find them as they change constantly. He suggested we go after Discount Advances instead. Well, I have sent my debt validation and C&D letter to ACR and received my receipts back so I know they were delivered. Can I take any action against them on my own? This is ridiculous. I reported them to the BBB and the KS Attorney General and up until about 2 weeks ago I was still getting non-stop "pending civil matter" phone calls at my work-long after they received my C&D. Can anyone give me any assistance?

whoever this lawyer you talked to should be ashamed of themselves.talk about a cop-out.discount advances is harder to track down.so that shoots the ambulance chaser's theory.go to the link OVLG attorney gave.you should find a lawyer that will work on a contigency basis.meaning the bottomfeeder pays his fee as well as anything to you.the important this is.there are lawyers who will go to bat for you.
