Care One Debt consolidation

beware of care one... they really messed us up, before they even received the first payment. the day i signed on, they told me they would not send out letters to creditors UNTIL AFTER they received the first payment. well, 48 hours after signing on with them, we called and cancelled our enrollment. we did not find out til 3 months later, that they sent out letters to the creditors WITHIN the 48 hours that we were enrolled... the fees they charge are crazy. and they will NOT make any payments to anyone or even talk to your creditors for many months, while they accumulate funds. they do take a lot of their fees at the front of the enrollment, no matter what they tell you about how they get their fees. this is one reason why we cancelled our enrollment so quickly, i read on the care one forum what other enrollees had suffered, even after paying to them for months and months. it made their situations even worse. you are best to do it yourself, it is not that difficult. just have to deal with phone ringing all day long with "unknown" callers, and toll free numbers showing up.
