Because of my own foolishness I have numerous payday loans through the internet. I have been paying on many of these for a long time. Recently I was looking on the internet and came accross an article that stated that internet lending was not legal in the the State of Nebraska unlesss they were liscensed in Nebraska and that an e signature was not accaptable for a signature. I am just wondering how to go about finding out if the payday loan companies are legal and if I am obligated to pay them any more money.

I checked on the website and they are not listed as lenders with the State of Nebraska

Cash advance Network
United Cash Loans
Treamont Financial
Star Cash
PayCheck Today
LoanPoint

Any ideas on what I should do now would be greatly appreciated. I have been paying these for a long time and just can't see any light at the end of the tunnel.

Is there any way to get them to stop taking out fees every 2 weeks. I have probably paid all of these places 2 times the original loan amount.

Can I do that by writing a letter and sending it via email or do I need to get addressses and send it through certified mail. Is there a template I can use to do this?

NONE of the lenders are licensed to lend in your state. The only way to stop them from having access to your account is to close it. Understand that your account information has now been compromised by illegal lenders, so it's very difficult to guess who's hands it will fall into next.

All that you owe them is the principal amount you borrowed, illegal lenders are not entitled to any interest or fees. So deduct any and all payments you have made so far, and what is left it the amount you are obligated to pay them. CLICK HERE to find out how to deal with illegal lenders.

There are a lot of complaints about them on this site, do a search and you can read what others have said about them.

I just wanted to give an update since I posted about a month ago. I am still fighting with Loanpoint USA. I have sent them three letters and i finally got a letter in the mail stating that they would not close my account and I needed to call therm which I am not going to do. Treamont sent me an email and stated that if I paid them $250.00 they would close my account. I keep getting lots of calls at home and at work from either collection agencies or people who won't leave messages. Other than that none of the other places have responded via email. I am really at a loss as what I need to do from this point on. I filed copies of all the letters that were sent in my personell file in case they try to do a wage assignement. I am just worried that these companies will try to get into my new account or try to sue me in the state they reside in.
