Who do I file complaint with for a collection agency that disregarded my ACH Revocation which was sent on 6/10 by certified mail, and I received the RRR card back? Transaction went through today. I notified my bank, but I want to nail these guys (Collect Corp.):-x

Yes, you can sue them, and they are subject to a fine for not complying with the EFTA. You would need to obtain the services of an attorney though.

You need to go into your financial institution and speak to the branch manager, show them a copy of the dated revocation, as well as a copy of the return receipt, ask that the charges be reversed.

Already did that. I am fed up with these jerks. They got the letter in plenty of time. I did a settlement with them and want to pay them directly by mail. My fault!!! and the dude called me last night and said that if I didn't authorize the withdrawal (even after receiving the revocation) that the settlement would be void, and that calling him today would be too late! So I said then the settlement will be void..... So they debit the money anyway. I am sooooo pissed!!!!!!:-x

Not yet. I filled out form yesterday and gave them a copy of my letter & RR. They said it would take about 5 days because they had to "investigate".

Funny how they can quickly charge your account for fees, but it takes "time" to reverse something like this. Had my direct deposit stopped and will need to open new account so these scumbags don't keep debiting my account. However, right now my account is overdrawn by $125.!!!

and I'm going on vacation Sunday...... woe is me

Bank credited me today. WHEW! now I can go on vacation and not worry about this stuff. When I return, I will contact Consumer attorney because of their illegal tactics. Also, they never sent me their surety bond number for NJ (said they did business in all the states for B of A) nor gave me verification that they are now the legal owner/assignee of my account. They told me I could call Bank of America and they would advise that CollectCorp. now owns the debt.

Arent' they supposed to give me this info in writing? I requested it via certified mail and received their RR.
