You can't go to jail for owing a debt.
No one can "file a judgment" against you, while it may sound like legal terminology, it's incorrect.
NEVER make payment arrangements, or admit to owing a debt to a voice on the phone, You are entitled to a letter of collection via the mail.
Based on the information you have given us, it sounds like a scam, several other people have posted similar situations in this forum for a very long time. The dead give away was the 'india accents". Don't argue with them, file a complaint about this with the FTC and your AG. If you have obtained payday loans via the Internet, provide the following information so we can help you:
-Names of each pdl company.
-Whether they are store front or Internet.
-How much you borrowed.
-How much you paid so far.
-The state in which you reside.

Just happened to me a week ago. Was the phone # 206-204-4835? If it was its a telecommunications company. I called them back and said I wasn't paying until I had
some written proof, haven't heard from them since. Thank goodness for this forum.
Don't pay them nothing. I even called back and wanted to speak to a supervisor and got the same guy that tried to hassle me said his name was David Hunt and could hardly say it. Listen to Shazzers don't give them anything.

For goodness sakes, please do NOT give anyone your credit card number or put anything in writing if you're not 100 percent sure of who you're dealing with. Guaranteed they'll max your card out for anything they can get. Tell them they need to send you something in writing on company letterhead stating in full detail who they're representing, that it's a legal debt, how much you owe, etc. As they're not even located in the US, you'll probably never ever receive ANY letter from them.
The number was a 606 number and he gave me a 530 number to call.
The number was a 606 number and he gave me a 530 number to call. When I called it back in my cell phone (while on hold on my office phone) same guy answered and no company name....They called again today and I didn't call them back. I got the email address for the AG here so I'm going to submit all I could get out of the guy. Thanks everyone!!!
