What is a good way to negotiate lower interest rate with GM card?

You can talk to the card company to negotiate a lower interest rate. Whether or not the company will consider your request, depends on how appropriate your reasons are. Can you tell as to why you want to lower the interest rate? If it is due to financial hardships, you can send the card company a hardship letter.

If it's the card managed by Chase... good luck. They've jacked the rates, and with the recent CC rules, I doubt they'll be going back anytime soon.

We accelerated the repayment schedule with ours to get it paid off- that was the only way I could get them to work on this account.
FWIW, another Chase account is now locked down & at 0% for 60 months, but that did require going late, and closing the account...
