Need payday loan in KY, all internet paydays
Date: Wed, 07/07/2010 - 03:47
I am currently thinking of going with Destination Debt or Langhorne Debt Solutions to solve my payday loan problem. I currently have $3300 in payday loans, and close to $900+ fees coming out twice a month, this is killing me.
I'm hoping someone here can help me with some direction on this?
My current loans are as follows:

NONE of these lenders are legal lenders, NONE!
What you REALLY need to do is CLOSE YOUR ACCOUNT and make payment arrangements with them via the mail, all you would have owed them to begin with is the amount you originally borrowed! Nothing more! CLICK HERE to find out how to deal with illegal lenders.

This is what I would do, go to another bank, open a new account, then close the current one. Then I would read the thread I gave you above on how to proceed, it is a step by step guide on how to deal with illegal lenders, there's no sense in paying someone else to do, what you can do free, and probably much more effectively due to the fact that NONE of these are licensed/legal lenders.

Shazzers,
Thanks so much for your quick response. I think I'm going to take your advice and take this on myself given the information you have provided. I'll keep you posted with progress, and also may ask a few follow-up questions along the way if you don't mind as things progress.
Thanks!
Shawn

Shawn, ask away... that is what everyone is here for. By the way - I would recommend not using Langhorne. I used them and did most of the work myself anyway... PLUS their fees. Try to tackle this yourself with the help of others online. You can do it!

Thought I would post the following email that I sent to the Kentucky Department of Financial Institutions for everyone's reference:Sent: Wednesday, July 07, 2010 7:45 AMTo: PPC KFI (CMS)Subject: Internet Payday Loan Question - Kentucky ResidentTo Whom it May Concern:I am a resident of Kentucky and unfortunately have taken out several internet payday loans. I recently read on a consumer debt site that internet payday loans are illegal to issue to Kentucky residents, and that I should only be liable for the principal of the loan since they were not legal to issue the loan to begin with.I am hoping to confirm this information with your office. I was provided the following link as a reference that internet payday loans are in fact, not legal in the State of Kentucky.http://www.paydayloaninfo.org/stateinfo/KY.aspYour response would be greatly appreciated so that I may move forward with dealing with these companies on her behalf.Thank you!And their response:I am responding to your question below. Kentucky law requires a company to have a license to act as a payday lender in Kentucky. As a result, if the internet company you are dealing with is not licensed by Kentucky, the payday loan is void pursuant to KRS 286.9-035(1) which states Any deferred deposit transaction agreement made with a person who is not licensed under this subtitle shall be void, and the person shall not collect any principal, fee, interest, charges, or recompense whatsoever. Thank YouSo, I am proceeding with closing my account. I'm going to use the email/letter template that is in the other thread that you posted to use, customizing it to fit my state's guidelines, reference this part of Kentucky's lending practices, and see where we go from there. Thanks for all the help!

they are a complete scam.i suspect they are connected with the MTE loans.usfastcash being one.eddie is mutated garbage.first file a police report for the calls.then file AG,and FTC complaints as well.then hang up on his sorry self as there is conjecture where this place is actually located.some say they are not located in this country, and alot of illegal lenders sell info to these people.most of all he can't do a thing except call.hang up in his face everytime without a word.that is what he deserves.

So USFastCash responds back to the BBB complaint with the following:To Whom It May Concern:We recognize this complaint as a response to information circulating the Internet. This information is full of mis-leading and inaccurate statements. Unless this customer has a specific complaint regarding the handling of their account, we do not believe a response is warranted. Thank you for your consideration in this matter. My response:The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)I do not accept this response as the company has not addressed the fact that they are illegally lending. If they are in fact able to lend in Kentucky, then I suggest they send forward their license detailing that. After this I moved forward with filing a FTC complaint against them, filing a complaint with Kentucky Attorney General, and I also am reading through the FBI's Internet Crime Complaint site, where I believe I have legitimate compalint to file on them there as well. http://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx They referred account to ACS, I'm assuming, and I also filed a FTC complaint against ACS, and wrote to USFastCash again warning them if it continues I will file complaint with the phone company, record any audio interaction between both them and ACS, and I will file a police report.

I also live in KY & am close (hopefully) to getting totally out of this trap. Don't know if anyone mentioned it - but Ky recently passed a new law that states that ANY internet PDL obtained BEFORE 2010 is null & void & you owe NOTHING - including the principal!!!
