When I looked them up on the web, they were nowhere to be found. I put in their phone number (877-261-8853) and got one web page that explains their services. I borrowed the money from my sister...she put it on her credit card. Now that I've made the payment, it's all over; but, I was wondering if they actually could have done all the things they said. |
in a word...no they can't as PDYL is illegal in every sense of the word.meaning even if they debited nothing you only owe the principle.a couple of questions.
1)how much was borrowed
2)how much if anything was debited before default
3)what state are you in.
you got taken.by that i mean don't think it's over as somebody else can come calling to harrass on this.since you have nothing in writing.this illegal pdl,and it's collectors will come after you again.next time google,or research anybody that calls and threatens like that as the idiot broke the law in threatening.i hope you learnned something from this.btw i would have your sister keep tabs on her cc as again this was an illegal collector using illegal tactics to collect.

Giving out a check that you know there aren't funds in your account is a form of check fraud, but they need enough evidence to convince a court of law to issue a warrant. Both of these threats are common threats creditors and collection agencies use to scare people into paying.
Next time, do not pay anyone without first making sure that person/firm/company has the right to collect the money on behalf of your creditor, especially if you're having trouble finding them online.

To hell with that, tell your sister to do a chargeback on her credit card and report them to the authorities. Even if you can't supply much proof, make the complaint to the FTC and the state attorney in florida.

Also, you found information about the company's shareholders? Who else is listed? How did you get ahold of a privately held company's share register? What leads you to believe he's behind the "illegal activities"? I found he resigned on 4/8/2010 but Daniel P Kneale is an officer and the registered agent.

The person posting that little nugget above is Dan Kneale. He's just mad because I didn't like the way the company was headed so I split, and still have 50%. Trust me, I don't want it. I'm in the market for selling my shares to this company. I have been in contact wth Stevo on this forum, as he has been targeted for collections from them. He knows my whole story.
