Question? I recently got my credit report for the year and I found a bill on my report that I thought was paid . I even got a paid in full letter from the agency. How can I make sure that the collction agencies listed on my report are acuurate? and, what is the precedureto take when dealing with these kind of problems?

Can I know if you mean to say that the account status has not been updated to "Paid"? If it is so, you can send in a dispute letter to the credit bureaus, and attach a copy of the paid in full letter from the collection agency. Also attach a copy of your payment receipt as proof.

You will get the sample dispute letter at http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/letters/sample13.html .
