I learned the REALLY hard way that creditors will not settle if you pay them ANYTHING. All of the talk about "make one payment and it will stay in our department" and all that did was cost me more and delay settlement. Sucks they don't understand anything else, but that is the way it is.

also... i thought these companies stopped calling employers? american express keeps calling my husbands job, and he works on the road and really doesn't want the dispatcher knowing his bussiness, so i went on the we site and deleted his work #. since they have already used it, will they still have it? and if we tell them to stop calling his job, do they have to stop? Thanks for your help !!!
