at leat you're in the high 590's i'm in the 520's haha! I don't have much knowledge but what I've learned from experience is that for medical bills and charge-offs you do have to pay them but do everything in writing, ask them for proof first, then a payment plan on each, since its collections they have to accept what you give them by law! one by one, they'll start dissapearing. Dont do anything by phone althoughthe'yre soing to say they don't take payments by mail or contact by mail, then you report them to becasue that is illegal! I used to worry constantly about my report, now I don't give a pickle juice about it because once you pay everything off , you can start your own savings and borrow against it to build your credit! make sure that they agree to remove any kind of information out of your credit report before you start paying!!! they are the only ones that have the right to put it and take it off, they will iie to you and tell you that the BBB does that for you once you send them a paid in full letter and its a lie, then you talk to the people that sent you to collections to get you removed but do that before you pay them!!

If the original creditor has stopped reporting because it was charged off, you can request the credit reporting agency verify the debt. Since it is charged off there no need to pay it off. It is extremely likely the reporting agency won't follow procedure and therefore will have to remove the item from the credit report completely, it will take some mail time but usually can be corrected in 60-90 days. When it is removed, it will positively impact your score.
