Recent Settlements !! Breaking news !!

over the last 5 months.
Keep in mind we had ALOT ALOT of DEBT !!
And we are self employed and in a foreclosure situation.... so our credit was a train wreck !! Which I think does help out when trying to settle.
I believe I got pretty good settlements because they thought I was going to file Chapter 7. (and I thought I was too) but now I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. Still a few more left to settle.
Am Ex sent to NCO 24% before charge off
Chase 20% Right before Charge off
BofA 15% Right before charge off .... they start at 35% then 25% then finally to 20%...just wait them out.... I pressed my luck and got 15%....very lucky !!
Discover 23% Very tough... went to CA.... before charge off

Citi is a pain in the $%& .... as you can see we had 4 different cards and 4 different outcomes !!!
# 1 25%
# 2 20% went to CA
# 3 15% right before charge off ?? made no sense .... but I took it !
# 4 they still wont settle.... 22k balance... they just sent it to a CA
I did talk to them alot.... I did not hide.... about 1 a week....
also ... I was very persistant... If you dont get your settlement % you want call back and talk to someone else....

Awesome settlements Mac! I have 2 that will charge off next week. They are still playing hardball. I'm gonna try to push it too because I can't afford 40% on both and they will not do installments, said it must be lump sum. You seem to have negotiated very well by leaving it till the very end. Hopefully I can too.
