I have been trying to figure collections out. I have 2 situations

1. I received summons and complaint which i will answer. There is no proof attached or account number attached. So, i'm not sure what credit card it is for. The suit claims Fia vs me. However, i think i have multiple collection agencies contacting me on this account. So who owns it, if there are multiple collection places contacting me. I've never had a FIA card directly. Never signed an agreement with FIA. How do they get to use the credit card company if they bought the debt and the OC charged it off? I honestly need proof of this one. I was never contacted or anything on this account. I'm thinking it may be an old BOA account when i pulled up my credit report i matched 4 digits to a letter collection lawyer sent 1 month prior to the summons. They seem to jump to lawsuit quite quickly. Then i have 2 letters in my file with the same last digits of 2 other agencies.

2. In dealing with a Chase card, i received settlement letter from Frederick Hanna office. Called Chase first hoping to deal with them and they told me they gave it to that collection. Called office who promptly reneged on offer on letter. I tried to give an offer like "if you accept one payment i can give you 35% and send it right out or if you want what you offered i can do it in 2 payments" was shot down, screamed at, asked for bank account info which i refused to give, then the guy rambled on and on about going to the post office and getting a tracking number and calling him back with it. he asked for post dated checks, again i refused. I also told him i would require the settlement in writing including that it constitutes account paid in full. That got me more screaming which i just sat thru. I called Chase back and let them know what happened again, telling them i offered what they wanted but they are refusing my payment. I'm not denying this particular debt cause its small. I realize i made a mistake in acknowledging it. This is such a small amount once settled it is so stupid the abuse I was taking. I really thought it would be easier and out of my hair. Make offer, accept offer, get letter in writing, send payment. Now i don't know what to do. I've called Chase twice but they won't help other then to say keep trying to call hanna office and get someone else. Do i just wait for them now? Also before i called them, i also had a phone message with a persons name but when i called they seemed to not recognize the name i was asking for, do they use fictitious names?
