I live in north carolina is it legal for me to receive pay day loans in my state. What happens if I dont pay them

Payday loans are not permitted in NC. If you don't pay them you will be threatened and harrassed and turned over to collectors who will do the same. They really do not have much legal recourse! You do, however, have a MORAL OBLIGATION to Pay Back the Principal as you did borrow it!

I certainly hope you don't have intentions of obtaining payday loans knowing they are prohibited in your state, with no intentions of paying them back, that would be dishonest!
