Kingston Financial is basically based in UK. They are an illegal payday lender, and does not have an accreditation with Better Business Bureau. Just pay back the principal loan amount. Send it to them via certified mail, requesting a return receipt. They won't be able to sue you as they are not legal. You can file complaint about them wit the Federal Trade Commission, and State Attorney General.

I don't know if this helps, but here's the number I have for Kingston Financial as of May of this year. 1-800-620-8790. They are very shady, I luckily paid them off immediately, as they never did provide any loan documents to me. In fact, I think I only verbally told them to pay my loan in full, never did have a fax number...but I will keep looking to see if I have one.

i never received any documents either. in fact, after submitting the online acceptance form, it asked me if i wanted to print/save a copy for myself. of course, i did want to, but whenever i clicked the button to load the document, i received a server error message and bunch of xml code on the screen. i was not amused by this at all. that being said, what would their recourse really be? if i already have confirmation from three individuals at my bank that they won't reopen my closed checking account if ANY debits are applied against it, outside of harassing me to no end, i don't see what they could legally do since they are not legal. seems it would simply be a matter of me informing i know who and what they are and filing the complaints that HOF listed above. am i wrong on this or do they actually have some ground to stand on?

No legal ground to stand on, period.
The only thing they MIGHT do is turn this debt over to a collection agency, BUT, if you play your cards right and educate yourself on the FDCPA there isn't much a collection agency can do with this account either.

Using the template I found here, I sent an email to the two addresses I have: info@kingstonfinancialonline.com and help@brightonfnl.com. In addition, I over-nighted the same letter to the Utah address to the attention of the lady that the BBB lists as the principal. In the letter, I informed them that I had already filed complaints with the FTC, BBB of Utah and both Attorney General Offices in Utah and Minnesota (which I have done). Is there anything else I should do? My account is closed and I've done the above. I'm very glad to know that this website exists. Otherwise, I'd have been at a loss.

There is an updated letter that I posted today HERE, it may be helpful in stopping the harassing calls and obtaining a refund, if that applies to you.
