Debt turned over to NAFS?

I am getting ready to set up a payment plan with these folks as they seem to have the correct information. How can I further verify that they have my account turned over to them? I can't afford to lose money! Thank you.
You should send debt validation letter making them prove they ow
You should send debt validation letter making them prove they own debt. You could also call original creditor and ask them.
Above is assuming it is with collection agency.
