I'm beyond overwhelmed right now and need some guidance. In the past year, my health issues (lupus and a severe form of gastroparesis) have worsened significantly. I have my own business (nonprofit), however I haven't been able to earn any money in about 8 months. We've been living off of my husband's teaching salary, which doesn't cover the bills. We cashed out our Roth IRA's and have cut back on expenses significantly. Our monthly expenses exceed our income. Our credit card debts include: Discover card $6000 (20+% interest rate due to a few late payments), Mastercard $1000 (low interest - credit limit is $2000) and Best Buy card ($850 for washer/dryer). I also have about $3000 in unpaid medical bills unpaid. The finances are my responsibility and it's becoming too much. I'm not sure what other information to include here, or where to turn to figure out how I'm going to manage our situation. Any advice is gratefully appreciated.

Remember to cover your basic expenses first - house, food, medicine, transportation to get to work. You should also consider meeting with a bankruptcy attorney for a free consultation since it appears that there is not going to be an increase in income, you will at some point hit the wall. You might as well get it over with to relieve the pressure on you which should help your health issues.
